This is an annual event run by the Knights of St. Columba for those physically challenged, their carers and families. With some additional adapted wheelchair friendly narrow boats which have decks that rise up, enabling the people confined to wheelchairs to be able to get the same enjoyment of the view as their able-bodied counterparts. The boats leave Harlow dock at 11:00 am and travel either up or down the River Stort (deciding on the whim of the skipper!) – at a midway point a meal is provided to all and then the return journey begins.
Arriving back at Harlow dock at about 3:00pm. This trip has now been running for a quite a few years and our thanks go to the CANAL BOAT TRUST, for furnishing these boats and to the crews (who are all volunteers).
