The Rosary Prayer group is informing Parishioners that the group has started meeting every weekday before Mass to pray the Rosary. The group is inviting Marian devotees and all those who are interested in the Rosary devotion to join them. It is a spiritual journey that you must be part of; with the intercession of Mary through Jesus.
The Cardinal will be inviting to Westminster Cathedral on Saturday 19th May 2018 at 3pm all couples in the Diocese who are celebrating their 5th, 10th, 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th (and every year over 60) wedding anniversary of catholic marriage in 2018. If you are celebrating an anniversary, please give to Fr. Clement the following details: husband and wife’s names, wedding date, full postal address and email (or telephone number, if no email).
Mary’s Meals wants your unwanted clothing and bedding (no duvets or pillows please) and will be at our church until 11am on Sunday 4th March to collect them all. Put your clothing/bedding into tied sacks and bring them to church where the charity Mary’s Meals will be here to pick them up.
Amazingly 4 full black sacks of good quality clothing will feed a child one good nutritious meal every school day for a whole year! Mary’s Meals is a charity that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
In collaboration with Churches Together/Broxbourne Food bank, we will begin today to collect food in the Parish. A large box will be placed to the right of the altar for you to place your donations which will then be taken to the local food bank. Sadly there is an increasing need for us to support those less advantaged than us. As you may know donations should be tinned or dried foods with a good shelf life. At present they also urgently need:
- Tinned fruit (400gms)
- Boxes/packs of Tea bags
- Dried pasta (500gms)
- UHT milk (1 litre)
- Breakfast Cereals.
We hope to continue this ‘Love in Action’ throughout the year.

An authentic Irish meal cooked by the “Knights” and their better halves to raise money for 2 charities. Mary’s Meals – a charity that combines giving meals to school children in Africa, with their attendance at school which costs £12.50 per pupil for the whole academic year. The second is CAFOD, a world-wide organisation that you all know of through Church.
Please come and and support this event and bring your families.
Everything that the “Knights of St. Columba” are involved in is “Family Friendly”. The cost of this meal is £12.00 for adults and £5.00 for children. The parish bar will be open.
